The HintMeTalk AI platform: how it works, what it does and where to start

Being able to speak is a skill, not a personality trait. It breaks down into parts you can practise: answer structure, a pause instead of “um”, the habit of asking a clarifying question, the ability to sit through an awkward silence. The platform exists for exactly that — to rehearse a conversation before it matters.

What is inside

Three modes

Practice that does not end with a demo

The daily challenge gives a short five-to-seven minute task, hints are earned for completed dialogues and unlock levels, and the day streak keeps you from quitting in week two. Achievements record progress, history keeps whole conversations, and PDF export lets you return to a debrief later or show it to a mentor.

Speech, not only text

You can hold the conversation by voice: the platform recognises speech and can read answers aloud, with a voice chosen for your language and the mode. That changes the feel of practice — with voice you can hear where you rush, where you drag a pause, where you answer too quietly.

Voice mode shows what text hides: tempo, pauses and confidence.

Languages and translation

The interface and the training work in eight languages, and translation comes with a phrase breakdown — not “paste text, get text”, but an explanation of why the phrase is built this way. That helps when the interview or the conversation will happen in English.

How one session works

  1. Situation. Pick a sphere — career and business, personal life, family, self-presentation, a difficult conversation — or describe your case in your own words.
  2. Dialogue. The AI plays the other side: asks awkward questions, argues, hesitates. You can drive the scene by voice or by text.
  3. Debrief. At the end you see where the structure fell apart and what could have been said more precisely.

The third step is what separates training from a plain chat: without feedback the conversation is just talk.

What is free and what is in the subscription

The core is free: three modes, voice input and speech output, the daily challenge, hints, the day streak, achievements, dialogue history, PDF export, translation, learning and the blog. The PRO subscription adds two things that not everyone needs right away:

That split is fairer than “everything behind a paywall”: you first see that training works, and only then decide whether you want the debrief.

A phone running the conversation training app
You can practise in the web version and in the mobile app — it is the same progress.

Where it runs

History and achievements belong to your account, so you can start on a desktop and continue on a phone without losing progress.

Where to start: five steps

  1. Open the web version or install the app.
  2. Pick one scenario — not five. Better the conversation you actually have in the next few days.
  3. Go through the dialogue to the end, even if it goes badly: the point is to see where it breaks.
  4. Read the debrief and write down one thing you will change next time.
  5. Repeat the same scenario a day later with that single change. That is how the skill sticks.

One conversation said out loud before the meeting is worth more than ten articles about negotiation.

Who it is for

The platform does not replace therapy and does not promise “confidence in one evening”. It gives a safe place to make mistakes without consequences and feedback that shows what to change.

The easiest start is the daily challenge: five minutes and one specific conversation.
